Lecithin

ITN provides both NON GMO and GMO Soya Lecithin. They are used in food and feed industry accordingly.

Our suppliers provide all the appropriate certificates verifying that products are analyzed for dioxins and pesticides.

Lecithin is utilized always in cases in which water-based and fat-based ingredients must be combined. It prevents that water and fats separate, as would otherwise be the case due to their “physical nature”. In many areas of food production, lecithin is essential as an emulgator.

NON GMO Lecithin is utilized in numerous food products that contain fats, such as in:

  • Chocolate
  • Ice cream and sweets
  • Convenience products
  • Meat products
  • Margarine

Lecithin also serves as an anti-oxidation agent and as a flour treatment agent baked goods or in bake mixes.
Since lecithin displays similar binding qualities as egg yolk, it is often used as a substitute therefore in a variety of products.
